Gisela Boleij values your privacy. Therefor we will collect and protect your personal information accordingly and in compliance with the GDPR legislation (Algemene Verordening Gegevensbescherming ). This privacy policy describes how the personally identifiable information you may provide on the www.giselaboleij.com website (or service) and any of its related products and services is collected, protected and used.

COLLECTION OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

We receive and store any information you knowingly provide to us when you make a purchase in our webshop. When required, this information may include the following: (company)name, name of contact, email address, billing adres, country of residence, purchase history and payment information. We will keep this information for 7 years after purchase in our customer base. This is for tax authorities reasons.

BILLING AND PAYMENTS

In case of services requiring payment, we request credit card or other payment account information, which will be used solely for processing payments. Your purchase transaction data is stored only as long as is necessary to complete your purchase transaction. After that is complete, your purchase transaction information is deleted. Sensitive and private data exchange happens over a SSL secured communication channel and is encrypted and protected with digital signatures, and the Website and Services are also in compliance with PCI vulnerability standards in order to create as secure of an environment as possible for Users. Scans for malware are performed on a regular basis for additional security and protection.

EMAIL MARKETING

We offer electronic newsletters or freebies to which you may voluntarily subscribe at any time. We are committed to keeping your e-mail address confidential and will not disclose your email address to any third parties except as allowed in the information use and processing section or for the purposes of utilizing a third party

COOKIES

The Website and Services use “cookies” to help personalize your online experience. A cookie is a text file that is placed on your hard disk by a web page server. Cookies cannot be used to run programs or deliver viruses to your computer.

You gave us your personal information by using our webshop or voluntarily subscribing via an Opt-in form.

PRIVACY

When you place an order, you have to fill in some personal details. I need these detail to complete the order. Your personal data will only be used for this purpose. After the order is completed I will delete this data within 6 weeks.

PRODUCTION AND QUALITY OF THE PRODUCTS

All products seen in my web shop are either handmade or produced in the Netherlands. Prints and cards are printed in the Netherlands and all paper has a FSC certificate
Please note that the actual product might look different in real life from the screen as every screen has different settings.

RIGHTS – YOU BUY THE PRODUCT, NOT THE  COPYRIGHT

It’s not allowed to copy the product you bought, or use it for commercial purposes (like a logo, flyers, website, etc.). If you do want to use it for commercial purposes, please get in contact with me.
All rights of the products and illustrations bought via the webshop will remain the property of Gisela Boleij. Products of Gisela Boleij may under no circumstances be copied or used to produce a new product.
Copyright remains in all instances with Gisela Boleij and copyright infringement will be dealt with.

PLACING AN ORDER

You can buy a product by clicking the respective add to cart button. To view your cart at any time, click the “View cart” button at the top of the page. At the checkout you will be asked for a few details that I need to be able to complete your order. When you have made your payment, you will receive an order confirmation on the email address that you have added on checkout.
When your order is shipped out, you will receive a second email.  If you do not receive a confirmation email within 6 hours, please contact me. The shipping-costs will be added to the total amount at the checkout.

All orders will be sent within 2 days.

ORDERING FOR A FRIEND/FAMILY/OTHER

Your order will be shipped to the address you fill out in ‘billing & shipping’. If you’re ordering something for someone else and want to have it delivered at a different address, please fill out that address there.

INVOICES AND RECEIPTS

When you order I will not include receipts or invoices in the package. You will receive the invoice upon ordering in my shop via email. You can safely order gifts this way! If you need an invoice for your business, make sure you fill out your business address as the shipping address, and include your business name in the checkout process.

ITEM OUT OF STOCK

All products are made in a limited run. This means that if a product is sold out, it’s likely it will not be re-produced (unless noted otherwise). It’s not possible to do prints or production on demand. I currently do not offer personalised products.

PAYMENT METHODS

You can pay either with iDeal, Paypal, Bancontact or Sofort in my shop. I do not work with bank transfers.

SHIPPING COSTS

All shipping costs include postage, packaging and processing of the order. All orders are send through PostNL, the only option I have in the Netherlands right now. This service is not cheap unfortunately, and as I’m a small web shop I cannot make deals with this service for cheaper postage. This means prices are standard.

Shipping rates are based on the total weight of the parcel, not the size.

If you place your order, you see an overview of all the costs including shipping before you make your order final. The shipping-costs will be added to the total amount at the checkout.

PACKAGING / ENVELOPES

All orders are send in packages/envelopes that have a maximum size of 38 x 26,5 x 3,2 cm / 15 x 10.5 x 1.3 inches unless noted otherwise.

I package every order very carefully by using cardboard envelopes for prints. This means the package is slightly heavier and therefore a bit more expensive. I do this to make sure your print doesn’t arrive to you folded or bent, which would be the case with a paper envelope and no extra protection.

Please note I try to refrain from using plastic as much as I can but in some cases I have to use it to protect the products. All prints are sealed in plastic or corn starch ‘plastic’.

I use recycled packing materials wherever I can.

COUNTRIES

I ship to the countries that are listed on checkout. If your country isn’t listed, I currently can’t ship it to you unfortunately.

SHIPPING TIMES

The customs service in your country might take a longer period of time to send the package to your place. This is the reason some delivery times may vary. It all boils down to the country you live in. From my experience, the timings usually are:

Netherlands: 2-5 days
Europe: 5-14 days
United States and Canada: 10-30 days (please note that some letters and packages might stay at border control a bit longer)
Australia: 10-30 days
Rest of the world: 1-8 weeks

For no particular reason some postal services keep packages and envelopes for longer periods of time at their centres, or at border patrol. It might take up to 6 weeks within Europe before they transit the package. Within Europe, please allow a maximum of 6 weeks for arriving, and outside Europe 12 weeks.

ENVELOPE HAS BEEN OPENED AND RESEALED

Occasionally border patrol will open packages and envelopes to check the contents. This happens mostly at the US, Canada, South-America, Australia and New Zealand border. Please contact border control in your country to ask for more information.

TRACK AND TRACE

Within the Netherlands: Every item is available with Track and Trace. If you choose to send it without track and trace, it cannot be traced.
Outside the Netherlands: You can choose your preferred shipping method, shipping with track and trace is available.
When you pick ‘(International) shipping with track and trace’, you can see where your package is located and file a complaint when your package is damaged.

Please note that packages with track and trace take longer on average to arrived than regular packages as they get stored at border control longer.

If you choose to have your order shipped without track and trace, it cannot be traced. After your order has been shipped, I cannot add track and trace, as this has to be added before an envelope or package has been shipped out.

TRACK YOUR PACKAGE

Go to: https://www.internationalparceltracking.com, fill out your code, country and postal code and see where it’s located.
With insured shipping I can get a refund from the postal services, though please note that PostNL is allowed to deliver the package within one year after sending without refunding money.

WRONG ITEM RECEIVED

Sometimes mistakes happen: in case you received the wrong product, please email me a photo of your order as you received it and your order number. I will send you the right item on my own costs of course. Please do this only by email (you’ll find the address below) Only claims through email will be dealt with. E-mail: info@giselaboleij.com

LOST/ DAMAGED PACKAGE

If you chose ‘(international) shipping with track and trace’, you get a track and trace code to see where your package is at that moment. Go to: https://www.internationalparceltracking.com, fill out your code, country and postal code and see where it’s located. Please check your order as soon as it is delivered. When your order is damaged or broken, please contact me by mail within 1 week and send a picture of the damage with your message. After I’ve received your email, I will send the product again.

 

REFUND AND RETURNS POLICY

Our refund and returns policy lasts 14 days. If 14 days have passed since your purchase, we can’t offer you a full refund or exchange. To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging. Several types of goods are exempt from being returned. Personalised goods such as cards, drawing, or paintings cannot be returned. 

Additional non-returnable items:

  • Gift cards
  • Downloadable software products

To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase. There are certain situations where only partial refunds are granted:

  • Any item not in its original condition, is damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error.
  • Any item that is returned more than 30 days after delivery

REFUNDS

Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund. If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days.

LATE OR MISSING REFUNDS

If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again. Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted. Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted. If you’ve done all of this and you still have not received your refund yet, please contact us at {email address}.

SALE ITEMS

Only regular priced items may be refunded. Sale items cannot be refunded.

EXCHANGES

We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange it for the same item, send us an email at {email address} and send your item to: {info@giselaboleij.com}.

GIFTS

If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate will be mailed to you. If the item wasn’t marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, we will send a refund to the gift giver and they will find out about your return.

SHIPPING RETURNS

To return your product, you should mail your product to: {info@giselaboleij.com} You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund. Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you may vary. If you are returning more expensive items, you may consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
