About the painting:

This small painting is an abstract figurative representation of a landscape at night.
In the moonlight, the rolling shapes of a field are visible.
Some trees can be seen in the distance.
You imagine yourself alone when suddenly something moves in the grass nearby.

I love spending time in nature and love how the night sometimes plays with your perception and swaddles everything in a mysterious blanket.

With this painting, I wanted to depict that fairy-tale-like atmosphere without being too literal. By building up oil paint in several layers and also using a palette knife, I suggested the different layers and textures in the landscape.
