I already own several works by Gisela Boleij and am super happy with my latest acquisition 'Dear Hare'. I think Gisela's art is very beautiful and fairytale-like. Her works make me happy.

The main figure looks at me with penetrating eyes. Eyes only you can paint! I cannot look away. Some of the situations the figure is in are impossible. As a result the painting is surreal rather than realistic. Which is fascinating. What is behing it? I as the observer want to know more.
