About The Artwork:
This is a portrait of my friend Wendy. During my college days, a group of my close friends regularly did creative photo shoots. During one of these photo shoots they used a uv lamp which gave a beautiful effect. This photo series was the inspiration for a series of paintings I made. In these paintings I tried to incorporate the beautiful colours the uv lamp produced. I love the estranged effect this creates and by using unusual poses these paintings have an almost surreal feeling.
